A-Train4014 Productions has officially reached 1,000 YouTube Subscribers.
Since we rarely create “Subscriber Special” videos, we thought this one would
be worth created because of how surprisingly fast we were able to reach 1,000
Subscribers. We hope to create 2,000 Subscribers soon. So in this special video,
our very own, Andrew Mangalindan narrates what it means to have 1,000 YouTube
Subscribers. Plus, he shares what he hopes A-Train4014 Productions will attempt to
do in the near future. We would like to thank everyone who has been a fan of
A-Train4014 Productions and we hope to meet new fans soon! Cheers to 1K

Illinois Railway Museum: Diesel Days

Andrew Mangalindan, Branden Phillips, Casey Walker, and David Dupuis
represented A-Train4014 Productions at the Illinois Railway Museum for
their annual Diesel Days event. This year did NOT feature a Diesel Parade
due to the low amount of crews/volunteers available for the weekend of
August 11-12. So the crews were hard at work coupling and uncoupling
trains as a tight schedule was made to make other train rides available
ranging from the Nebraska Zephyr led by CB&Q (Burlington Route) E5A
9911A and a C&NW (Chicago & North Western) Bi-Level Train led by C&NW
F7A 411, along with a variety of diesel trains pulled a Caboose Train and a
Coach Train. While we were there, we met up with a variety of close friends
and colleagues like Matthew Grentz (SOO6061), Andrew Sonkin
(TheRailAviator777), Larry Amaloo, Mark and Paul Ciecelski, and
Tim Parrott. Hope you enjoy our video of Diesel Days! Here are the

LaGrange Railfanning

A-Train4014 Productions continues to return to familiar territory.
This time, we headed south towards LaGrange, IL where we filmed on
the BNSF Chicago Subdivision or known as the BNSF Racetrack. This
place is known for the craziest luck including our “Biggest Jaw-Dropping
Moment” in our production’s history. While we were there, we were just in
time for the morning rush hour and for once, we didn’t have to deal with the
sun resulting “backlit” video shots. We tried our best to bring you the best
coverage we can on the BNSF Racetrack. Of course, the action was fairly
consistent with action. So we were getting trains every 30-35 minutes.
Overall, another solid day out trackside. Stay tuned to our YouTube channel

A-Train4014 Productions returns to familiar territory: Elmhurst, Illinois.
This part of the Union Pacific Geneva Subdivision is actually the closest
to our home base from Lake Villa. Since it’s been a while we’ve made a
visit to Elmhurst, we insisted to film there one last time before our summer
railfanning season concludes. While we were out trackside, we saw the usual
Metra and Union Pacific rail traffic. Believe it or not, there wasn’t really any
train that stood out. So unfortunately, there is NO Highlight of the Day featured
in this video presentation from Elmhurst. So as a result, this marked the first time
in A-Train4014 Productions History where we did NOT feature Highlight of the Day
off the UP Geneva Subdivision. But overall, we had a solid day out trackside. The
day started off warm yet difficult to film trains during the morning rush hour due to
the sunrise. As the day progressed, the clouds started to roll in. While monitoring
the radar, there were thunderstorms looming so our crew tried their best to stay dry.
By the end of the day, it was almost perfect timing when the thunderstorms came
through Elmhurst. Luckily we were packed up by the time the storms arrived.

Illinois Railway Museum: Vintage Transportation Extravaganza

A-Train4014 Productions heads out to the Illinois Railway Museum in honor of our
three year anniversary on YouTube for the Vintage Transportation Extravaganza
where the event featured vintage vehicles ranging from classic fire trucks, school
buses, and of course vintage cars that date back to the 80’s, 70’s, and even 60’s!
While we were there, we took a short look at some of the various vintage vehicles
on display around the Illinois Railway Museum property. In addition, Frisco 1630
and CB&Q 9911A along with several trolleys and streetcars operated short train
rides around the museum property. So our crew was very busy once Frisco 1630
and CB&Q 9911A were on the move ready for their runs onto the museum’s four
mile main line. While the weather may have been humid, our crew stayed cool
under shades and staying hydrated with lots of water. Overall, busy and fun day
at the Illinois Railway Museum. Stay tuned next week for our return trip to the
Illinois Railway Museum for it’s annual Diesel Days event. Enjoy our video from the

A-Train4014 Productions takes a long drive out to Rochelle Railroad Park.
This part of town is where the Union Pacific Geneva Subdivision meets the
BNSF Aurora Subdivision. So there are only BNSF and UP freight trains present
in this video with some additional foreign power. Last time we visited Rochelle,
it wasn’t the best time out trackside as only a few freight trains showed up.
This time around, luck is on our side as the action got consistent from both the
Union Pacific and BNSF. So to make our job a bit easier, we set up two different
tripods. One tripod was set up on the UP and a second tripod was set up on the
BNSF. So whenever a freight train sneaks up, we knew where to rush over.
Overall, it was a hot day as some of us tried our best to stay hydrated and stay
cool in the shade. In the end, it was a solid day out trackside at Rochelle Railroad
Park and we hope to return there next year for Rochelle Railroad Days in June.
