I gave Rondout one more chance. This time, I brought the entire crew this time. Turns out, I had better results. I got to see the Amtrak trains, Metra trains, and CP freight trains this time. Highlight of the Day is filmed WITHOUT a tripod! As the crew and I are about to leave Rondout, two trains meet and I only filmed with my hands. Surprisingly, the video was very steady and smooth. Overall, the crew and I enjoyed railfanning at Rondout.

I never thought I would like Rondout that much so I decided to return on a weekday instead. However, it wasn’t what I expected. First of all, the fog was getting worse as the day went on. It was getting worse to the point where I couldn’t see the signals. But it doesn’t stop there. Unfortunately this video from Rondout is called the “Metra and Amtrak Edition” because that is basically all I caught. Unfortunately, there is NOT a single freight train that I caught from Rondout. I’m guessing I either missed a few in the morning or something was going on. Anyways, if you love Metra trains and Amtrak trains, enjoy the hornshows from these commuter trains.

I went to Antioch station to meet up with my friend, Rob Dargan. The Metra engineer reminds us “Safety First” while railfanning. A special thank you to Rob Dargan for taking the time to be safe around railroad tracks. Trains are cool and fun but can be dangerous. A-Train4014 Productions reminds all railfans to stay safe around train tracks.

I’ve always wanted to go railfanning at Rondout just to experience what it is like after seeing many videos from Rondout. However, after accepting the fact that is a horn zoned area, I decided to give it a shot. Andrew Sonkin and Alex Ertmann joins A-Train4014 Productions in Rondout on a Sunday afternoon. After experiencing Rondout, A-Train4014 Productions will likely come back to Rondout for more railfanning in the near future as we continue to work on our schedule throughout the year.

A-Train4014 Productions Owner/Founder, Andrew Mangalindan reveals his model railroad layout. This is where inspiration sparks for new video ideas for A-Train4014 Productions. This is also the only place where Andrew Mangalindan does his work and spends most of his time at home. Enjoy the sights and sounds of N Scale model trains as well as Andrew’s model railroad layout. It is not completed even though there are many N Scale train projects on his list that he has yet to do including getting a freight train started. After making a recent N Scale train set, Andrew began to expand his model railroad layout in his basement. On the layout, there are four operating lines starting from the outside going in that include the following trains.

A-Train4014 Productions returns to Lake Forest station one last time before Owner/Founder, Andrew Mangalindan heads back to IUPUI to start his spring semester of college. Finding trains was difficult especially since Metra was running on a Sunday schedule. As a result, we were caught of guard assuming that Metra would run a normal weekday schedule. That didn't stop there. The cold and rain made the job more difficult too. Overall, it has been a fun winter break.

“It’s been a great winter break railfanning and spending time with friends and especially my family. I didn’t want my break to end but I hope to be railfanning again really soon as well as spending time with the family.”

Another trip to Lake Forest station is made before the end of 2016. Andrew Sonkin, Andrew Heraver, and Casey Walker (CaseyBNSFTrains) join A-Train4014 Productions at Lake Forest station one last time to ring in the year 2017. It was a fun day despite that it was a cold day and there was little hope in catching Highlight of the Day. Luckily one train stood out among the rest.
