Happy National Train Day to all! Since our production company’s
debut in 2015, we filmed trains in Lake Forest, IL for the day to honor
National Train Day. On Friday, May 11, 2018, we continued the
tradition of celebrating National Train Day at Lake Forest, IL.
Due to scheduling conflict, we had to move our National Train Day
celebration to Friday, May 11 instead of Saturday, May 12. Either way,
we would have faced with wet/rainy conditions out trackside. While we
were filming, it was nothing but commuter trains for the first five hours
of our time out trackside. By the afternoon, the action picked up quickly
as a few CP freight trains were able to get squeezed in between the
Metra trains and Amtrak Hiawatha trains which had the crew on their toes.
Overall, it was a good day out trackside and you’ll find it hard to believe
what made Highlight of the Day. Stay tuned in the next few days as we
upload a few more videos before our trip to the Illinois Railway Museum
