We made an unexpected trip to Lake Forest today because
we overheard an interesting lashup on CP 286 which happens
to be Highlight of the Day. While we were waiting on CP 286,
we caught both Amtrak Empire Builder trains 7 and 8, along
with a pair of Inbound and Outbound Metra trains, a pair of
Amtrak Hiawatha trains 337 and 338, and finally CP 470 which
featured Norfolk Southern power. It may have been a bit chilly
outside due to the wind but overall, great day on the CP C&M
Subdivision.
