We made an unexpected trip to Lake Forest today because
we overheard an interesting lashup on CP 286 which happens
to be Highlight of the Day. While we were waiting on CP 286,
we caught both Amtrak Empire Builder trains 7 and 8, along
with a pair of Inbound and Outbound Metra trains, a pair of
Amtrak Hiawatha trains 337 and 338, and finally CP 470 which
featured Norfolk Southern power. It may have been a bit chilly
outside due to the wind but overall, great day on the CP C&M
Subdivision.

A-Train4014 Productions returns to the Union Pacific Geneva Subdivision
in Elmhurst, Illinois. We apologize in advance for the terrible video shots of
some of the trains due to horrible backlighting and where the sun was
positioned which made it difficult for our crew to find the best video shots
during the morning rush hour in Elmhurst. As the day went on, it got warmer
and the sun was positioned in a much better position for better video shots.
Overall, solid day on the UP Geneva Subdivision.

Since the weather was decent on Friday, April 20, A-Train4014
Productions heads out to our home turf in Lake Forest, IL for a
railfanning day. While we were there, the action was slow
throughout the morning. Around noon, freight trains came
rushing into Lake Forest. In fact, four freight trains came
under a blanket with two going north, two going south.
Highlight of the Day was unique because it involved
police activity on Amtrak Empire Builder 8. We’re unsure
what the situation was at the time and we decided not to
film the situation due to law enforcement being present.
But overall, solid day trackside at Lake Forest.

Lake Villa Railfanning

Our very own, Andrew Mangalindan went out for
some railfanning on the CN Waukesha Subdivision
in Lake Villa, IL our hometown. The action may not
have been the best and it definitely didn’t help with
the chilly weather conditions. It’s been a while since
we seen our friend, Rob Dargan at the controls of
NCS Train 116. We thought we would not see
“Highlight of the Day” but there was one train
that was able to get squeezed in just before we wrapped up.

A-Train4014 Productions returns to LaGrange Road station on
the BNSF Racetrack once again. Recently our last visits to
LaGrange has treated us well. To recall, “The Biggest Jaw
Dropping Moment” of our production history has occured at
LaGrange when Amtrak Cascades F59PHI 467 was trailing
on a BNSF Intermodal train late last year. While we were there,
the action got busy towards the end as the commuter trains
dominated the first half of our day while a few freights got
squeezed in between commuter trains. Overall, another
solid day on the BNSF Racetrack.
