Naperville Railfanning

Recorded on 2/24/18
When we last visited Naperville, it was average. What made it even worse was when
Metra F40PHM 210 showed up. At the end of that day, we came up with NO
Highlight of the Day which marks the first time in A-Train4014 Productions History
that we never found “Highlight of the Day” on the BNSF Chicago Sub. Few
months later, we decided to give Naperville another chance. All morning
towards noon, the commuter trains dominated as Metra and Amtrak trains
made station stops with only one freight train within the hour. By noon, our
crew was getting very nervous that history might repeat itself with NO
Highlight of the Day. But after lunch hour, the BNSF sent out the freight trains
which became a very busy day. At the end of the cold and windy day, this was
sweet redemption from the last visit in Naperville. Overall, another solid day on
the BNSF Chicago Sub.

Rondout Railfanning

Recorded on 2/18/18
Our crew was supposed to take Sunday, February 18 off but
Andrew Mangalindan and Miles Jajich had other ideas. So they
headed out to Rondout for another railfanning day. While the action
was very low, we enjoyed railfanning while watching the 2018 Daytona
500. Overall, it was hard to multitask between watching the tracks versus
the Daytona 500 but we shared so many laughs and had a great time.

Lake Forest Railfanning

Recorded on 2/16/18
Andrew Mangalindan and Casey Walker head out to the CP C&M Sub
at Lake Forest for a railfanning day. The action started off really slow
and only included two freight trains. After 1-2pm, the city of Lake Forest
was greeted with an intense action. We enjoyed the very last few hours
since the action was busy at the time. It went so well, that Highlight of the
Day features two different trains since it was that difficult to pick one actual
highlight. Enjoy the show from Lake Forest!

Lake Forest Railfanning: Trains in the Snow

Recorded on 2/10/18


The city of Chicago and suburban areas have been hit hard with snow on
Friday, February 9. So the following day, Andrew Mangalindan, Casey
Walker, and Miles Jajich took on the cold and snowy day in Lake Forest,
Illinois to film some trains dusting up the snow. The action was a bit slow
but we still had fun trackside especially when we had to film some of the
freight trains and Amtrak trains.

LaGrange Railfanning

Recorded on 2/3/18
Last time in LaGrange Railfanning, we witnessed a JAW DROPPING
moment in A-Train4014 Productions History as we witnessed Amtrak
Cascades F59PHI 467 trailing a BNSF Intermodal freight train.
Fast forward to two months later, we return to the scene of LaGrange
Road Metra station hoping for some good action last time.
It did not disappoint once again. We caught a solid amount of action.
The audio was a bit of an issue all day due to the cold and brutal
wind so we apologize in advance. The action remained busy especially
towards the afternoon. In addition, we made a brief trip to the Indiana
Harbor Belt tracks in LaGrange, IL as well. Overall, we had a great time
in LaGrange and it is starting to become one of our favorite places to film of
the BNSF Chicago Sub.
