Lake Cook Road Railfanning

Previously, A-Train4014 Productions was out trackside filming
trains in Lake Forest on Friday, January 26. What wasn’t mention
was the fact that there was a pair of Kansas City Southern engines
leading a train heading north on the CP C&M Sub. We waited but it
never showed up. Two days later, we got a second chance in hopes of
getting redemption as Andrew Mangalindan and Miles Jajich witness the
sweet redemption as we caught a Kansas City Southern leading a
freight train in Lake Cook Road station. This video will not include footages
from the GoPro as we recently finished up our camera tests for future events.
So from this point, you may never know when we will use the GoPro but it will
always be with us as we prepare for future events or train meets while we’re out
trackside. The action may not have been the best, it was still a good time out
filming.

Lake Forest Railfanning

Since the weather was pretty good, our very own, Andrew Mangalindan
represented A-Train4014 Productions at Lake Forest, IL on a Railfanning
Friday session on the CP C&M Sub. While we were there, the wind was
very brutal. As a result, our tripod became somewhat beaten. So we
apologize for some of the crooked video shots in this video. We also
continued to use the GoPro Hero 5 Session Camera. However, we
didn’t use it as much because we’re getting close to completely testing
out the GoPro for future events. Overall, the action was really busy.
Enjoy the hustle and bustle at Lake Forest station on the CP C&M Sub.

Lake Forest Railfanning

After heading out to Elmhurst yesterday, Andrew Mangalindan and Casey Walker
continued to work hard catching trains at Lake Forest on a decent Sunday
afternoon with special guest: Andrew Sonkin (NorthbrookRailfanner).
While we were there, we caught a good amount of action on the CP C&M
Sub as a good variety occured in the morning and continued till the
Amtrak Empire Builder trains showed up. Overall, it was another
solid day in Lake Forest as we caught (hopefully) the first of many Heritage
Units this year.

Elmhurst Railfanning

Elmhurst Railfanning

We returned to a place that has become an instant favorite to our crew:
Elmhurst. Andrew Mangalindan and Casey Walker represent A-Train4014
Productions in the city of Elmhurst with special guests: Aaron Gonzales
(BNSF Fan 7695) and David Dupius (The Boeing Railroader). Based on
our previous visit to Elmhurst, it did not disappoint on a weekend. We were
also able to utilize the GoPro camera really well. Overall, we had a fun time
as we were able to squeeze in some time in the evening.

Wadsworth Railfanning

Andrew Mangalindan and Casey Walker take on the bitter cold as they head out trackside to catch PRLX 200 trailing on CP 287 and Amtrak Empire Builder 8 with a BNSF ES44C4 leading the way in Wadsworth, IL. The bitter cold may not have been treating us really well but it is always a joy to see the trains that we were scheduled to catch. We were also able to continue using the GoPro camera for unique shots. We’re still in the testing phase for the GoPro camera at the next few weeks. Overall, we want to thank Andrew Mangalindan and Casey Walker for surviving the cold to catch some trains.

Lake Forest Railfanning

For the first time ever, A-Train4014 Productions will feature GoPro video footages from a railfanning trip. Our very own, Andrew Mangalindan goes out to the CP C&M Sub to test out the brand new GoPro Hero 5 Session camera. Throughout the video, look out for the GoPro video footages. We are planning to use the GoPro more often especially when trains meet and during special events later in the year. It may have been cold outside, but we could probably agree that it was fun testing out the GoPro.
