A-Train4014 Productions returns to Hinsdale, IL for a day out trackside on the
BNSF Chicago Subdivision with Ben Nicholas (TwiggyBNSF). Before we went
out trackside, our battery packs have oddly failed and not even an hour in, our
day was toast. So we had sit out on filming for a while till the morning rush hour
ended to charge up our cameras inside the station. Luckily, their outlets worked
and powered cameras long enough where we could last till 1-2pm. While we were
there, it was a solid day. It wasn’t a great day since nothing really stood out while
we were filming trains all day. As a result, this will mark the second time that there
will be NO Highlight of the Day in this railfanning video from Hinsdale. Overall,
things happen and we will try harder next time when we’re out trackside later in
the week. Stay tuned for our trips to the Illinois Railway Museum for the Vintage
Transportation Extravaganza and Diesel Days in early August.

Illinois Railway Museum: Day Out With Thomas

A-Train4014 Productions returns to the Illinois Railway Museum for the
Day Out With Thomas event. Due to injury last year, our very own Andrew
Mangalindan couldn’t make it to the event. What made this trip even more
special is our previous Day Out With Thomas video made it to ABC 7 Chicago.
We hope to do the same with this Day Out With Thomas video. Throughout the
day, our crew filmed Rock Island 4506 running with Thomas and Frisco 1630
running with Percy. Special thanks to the Illinois Railway Museum and the
volunteers that make this Day Out With Thomas event possible. In this video,
we’re also featuring some Thomas & Friends music. Some of them can be
“nostalgic” for the longtime Thomas and Friends fans. Hope you enjoy this
special presentation of Day Out With Thomas at the Illinois Railway Museum!

A-Train4014 Productions makes a surprise visit to the Monticello Railway Museum
with special guest Elijah Jackson (Baltic 144 Productions) and Harry Fairbanks
(TheLOKRailfan)! While we were there, we filmed Southern 401 steam locomotive
running on the museum property from operating a small switching job to couple up
to its consist before beginning operations. Our crew worked extremely hard at the
Monticello Railway Museum getting the best videos and photos out trackside. So
it was a busy day especially since we’re trying to get around the area to find the
best ways to shoot videos and photos. We want to send a special thanks to all the
volunteers/employees at the Monticello Railway Museum for making our visit special.
We’re able to get exclusive access to parts of the museum that the public may not be
able to see. After visiting Monticello Railway Museum, we’re definitely making another
visit next year. Hopefully we will be back for a “Throttle Time” session. Enjoy our video

West Chicago, Illinois was one of many places that we’ve planned to visit this
year. So we decided to make a return trip to West Chicago at the ex EJ&E
line where the CN Leithton Subdivision intersects with the UP Geneva
Subdivision. While we were there, the action was quite busy. There were
trains coming from both the UP Geneva Subdivision and the CN Leithton
Subdivision so it made our crew members hard at work setting up our
cameras to prepare for incoming trains. Even though our crew was stuck
in traffic on the way out. Overall, it was a solid and busy day.

A-Train4014 Productions returns to Lake Forest, IL on the CP C&M Subdivision
for a day out trackside. We apologize for not being active earlier this week as
we’ve been prepping for a few more trips for the past few days since our trip to
the Illinois Railway Museum for the unveiling of Rock Island 4506.
So we’re back to work out trackside and we’ll bring you more railfanning
videos later in the week. While we were out trackside, the action was consistently
busy on this 90 degree day. At least there was a cool breeze every few minutes
so our crew remained cool in the heat. In addition, one of our videos, Illinois
Railway Museum: Day Out With Thomas was featured on ABC 7 Chicago to
promote Day Out With Thomas for the weekend of July 14-15 and July 21-22.
So special thanks to ABC 7 Chicago for featuring our top viewed video. It
