SOO Line 1003: Santa Train

Recorded on 11/10/18 and 11/23/18

The Steam Locomotive Heritage Association hosted three different
Santa Train events for SOO Line 1003. We started back on November
10 where the organization held its annual Hartford Santa Train event in
the town of Hartford, Wisconsin. Then two weeks later, we would see
SOO Line 1003 in Plymouth, Wisconsin with Connor Siemers, Elijah
Jackson (EJ) (Baltic 144 Productions), and Elijah’s girlfriend, Riley Ginger.
SOO Line 1003 would sit on display in the town of Plymouth till 3PM where
we would chase it down to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin around sunset. We would
eventually stay until we chased it back to Plymouth to attempt night shots and
it somewhat worked in our favor. To conclude our long day in Plymouth, we
stayed for the Christmas Parade in the town of Plymouth where the SOO Line
1003 sat on display on the overhead bridge adjacent to where the parade was
happening. Overall, the steam crew did a great job steaming up SOO Line 1003.
So this officially concludes our year of seeing steam locomotives in action.
Stay tuned later in the month for more Christmas Trains! Enjoy this special
presentation of SOO Line 1003: Santa Train featured in Hartford, Plymouth,
and Elkhart Lake.

LaGrange Railfanning: Thanksgiving Edition

Recorded on 11/21/18

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Our A-Train4014 Productions crew members:
Andrew Mangalindan, Miles Jajich, and Aaron Gonzales met up in LaGrange,
Illinois for a day out trackside on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 to witness
the rail traffic on Thanksgiving Eve. Because it was Thanksgiving Eve out
trackside, the Metra commuter trains have dominated most of the day.
Unfortunately, our camera equipment took the beating in the bitter cold as we
had a tough time keeping them warm so we had to change up how we filmed
trains that day as our cameras died four times throughout the day. Two of four
times happened when a train was approaching and the camera didn’t have
enough time to boot up in time. But luckily a few freight trains showed up and
we were able to film a few to include in this video. Plus, we found our
“Highlight of the Day” from one of these freight trains so stay tuned to the end
of the video to find out what we caught. Amtrak regional service trains were
also running extras. But because of the cameras dying out, we weren’t unable
to film them arriving and departing. Overall, we hit the jackpot in LaGrange once
again with our Highlight of the Day. We hope you enjoy this video presentation
from LaGrange, Illinois on Thanksgiving Eve. From all of us at A-Train4014
Productions, Happy Thanksgiving!

The Trains of 2018 Sneak Peek

Created on 11/17/18

The year 2018 was unbelievable for all of us at A-Train4014 Productions.
With 2019 approaching very quickly, it’s that time of the year to reveal a
sneak peek of our end of the year which will be titled “The Trains of 2018”
featuring the best, worst, and odd moments that has occured trackside.
This sneak peek has been formatted into a music video featuring the song
“The Night Out” by Martin Solveig. We hope you will be there on New Years
Eve with a drink and popcorn ready for the premiere of The Trains of 2018
because it will be at least 1 hour long. Please note that all copyright goes to the
original owners

"American Dream" Music Video

Created on 11/17/18

We have been fortunate to be filming trains almost every week.
So we’re basically (almost) living our American Dream of filming
trains and changing up locations at the same time. So this music
video features the song, “American Dream” by MKTO featuring
more of our favorite train videos that we’ve recorded so far this year.
Please note that all copyright goes to all the original owners.

In addition, we would like to announce that this video will be a sneak peek
to our upcoming new video called “The Unseen Trains of 2018” which will
featuring many of our train catches that have yet to be published on YouTube
including a train catch that we were able to pull off in the grand finale of that video.
Stay tuned on Christmas Day for the premiere of “The Unseen Trains of 2018”.

"Any Way You Want It" Music Video

Created on 11/16/18

So due to scheduling conflicts, we were unable to create a new
railfanning video. Instead, we’ve created music videos to make it up.
This music video features the song, “Any Way You Want It” by Journey.
This video will contain a variety of our favorite train videos that we
recorded so far this year. Some may include train videos that have yet
to be published on YouTube. Please note that all copyright goes back to
the original owners.

TrainFest 2018

Recorded on 11/11/18

A-Train4014 Productions crew members, Andrew Mangalindan and
Casey Walker returned to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend TrainFest at
the Wisconsin Exposition Center State Fair Park with our close colleagues,
Elijah Jackson (EJ) (Baltic 144 Productions) and Harry Fairbanks (TheLOKRailfan).
While we were there, we filmed a variety of model railroad layouts that were on
display at TrainFest. At the end of the day, Andrew came home with a Union Pacific
Big Boy T-Shirt, Union Pacific 1943 in N Scale, Norfolk Southern 1074
(Lackawanna Heritage Unit) in N Scale, a Norfolk Southern SD70 Standard
Cab in N Scale, a Metra caboose, a Chicago & North Western AC4400CW in
N Scale. Overall, we had a blast especially because it was cold for the entire
weekend. Later in the month, stay tuned for our video of SOO Line 1003 running
a special Santa Train as well as a couple more trips out trackside before concluding
our railfanning season next month. Enjoy this video presentation recapping model
trains at TrainFest!

Northbrook Railfanning

Recorded on 11/2/18

A-Train4014 Productions returns to the CP C&M Subdivision in
Northbrook, Illinois with special guest: Andrew Sonkin (TheRailAviator777).
We arrived out trackside at around 6am and ended roughly at 3:15-3:30PM
just in time to see the pair of Amtrak Empire Builder trains even though Empire
Builder 8 was running about 10-15 minutes behind schedule into Glenview.
The action on the CP C&M Subdivision was a bit in consistent. The first half of
the day was fairly dominated by the Amtrak Hiawatha trains and Metra trains.
But a few freight trains were able to get squeezed in and showed up. Throughout
the day, we tried to get in a few trains with fall colors in the background especially
towards the end of the video when we were set up towards the south end of the
Northbrook station platform. Even though the weather was a bit chilly to our liking.
But we were able to stay warm in the cold. So this means winter is on the horizon.
We still have a few more trips coming up later this month. Enjoy our special
presentation from Northbrook, IL on the CP C&M Subdivision.

Naperville Railfanning

Recorded on 10/27/18

A-Train4014 Productions has returned to the BNSF Chicago
Subdivision in Naperville for a day of railfanning. While we
were there, the weather has finally worked in our favor.
The action was consistently busy due to the major track
construction occurring in between Hinsdale and Aurora.
As a result, the middle track was blocked off for trains to
use and stacked many trains on top of each other causing
some delays for the Metra commuter trains.  Our crew
members: Andrew Mangalindan, Casey Walker, Aaron
Gonzales, and David Dupuis were on hand to witness
the action on the BNSF. We had a fun time out trackside as
we met up with our friend, Andrew Bandur and Mark McDonough
(trainsandhawksfan17) along with a few other railfans. Overall,
it was a successful day out trackside and we can’t wait to share
this video presentation from a busy day at the BNSF Racetrack.
Enjoy our video presentation of the BNSF Chicago Subdivision
action in Naperville, Illinois.
