Before the Thanksgiving season began, I thought of making a trip to Lake Forest for some railfanning. Surprisingly, I didn't catch many freight trains than I anticipated. On the weekend of November 21-22, I made a trip to Grayslake, Illinois at the Lake County Fairgrounds to attend the Great Train Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Despite the first snowfall, I managed to get there safely. Thanks to Branden and Mary Phillips for coming along for the ride as we got to see cool train stuff. Also stick till the very end to see my shopping souvenirs from the Great Train Show.
