Lake Forest Railfanning

A-Train4014 Productions returns to Lake Forest with our very own, Casey Walker. Due to scheduling conflicts, Casey wasn’t able to join Miles Jajich and David Dupuis at Lake Forest yesterday. Since arriving at Lake Forest, we were in for a mess. It was revealed that new signals were installed towards Everett Road Railroad Crossing and resulted signal problems for the whole day. The signal problems were massively delaying Metra trains left and right as well as for the Amtrak Hiawatha trains and freight trains were halted for a while. At one point, there were six trains “under a blanket” so it basically three trains were trailing close to each other. In my opinion, I think this was the busiest time to be at Lake Forest on the CP C&M Sub on a Saturday. It was fun seeing trains coming from left to right but I’m sure the railroad crews didn’t like the massive delays.
